Petitions

Make your voice heard on local issues you care about by creating or signing a petition

With enough signatures your petition can be considered by the relevant Council department or committee and could bring about the changes you want in your local community.

For a petition to be considered it must be signed by at least 10 registered electors of the area. Please note that petitions cannot be submitted in connection with a planning application or if the nature of the petition is a complaint. Likewise petitions that are defamatory or of a personal nature, or are otherwise considered to be inappropriate will not be accepted. Petitions also cannot be set up that request action to be taken which is outside the Council’s powers or remit, nor can they be in connection with other e-petitions whether local, regional or national.

More information on petitions can be found at http://www.eastriding.gov.uk/council/committees/petitions/

To set up a petition or to sign a petition you must create a user account (click on 'Sign in or Create an account' on the top right hand corner of this screen). You must live in the East Riding and be a registered elector to be eligible to create or sign a petition.
